Stevie Blacke is an arranger and multi-instrumentalist from Los Angeles California. known as "that string guy" (playing violin, viola, cello & double bass), stevie is also well versed in Electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin, mando-cello, electric violin, electric bass, banjo, dobro, lap steele, saz, sitar, esraj, Erhu, even autoharp. These are all instruments Stevie Blacke has in his closet. And they do not just sit there, Stevie plays each and every one of these when it is called for.

This is why as an instrumentalist Stevie has recorded and/or performed with some of the most recognized people in the business including Beck, Madonna, Weezer, Cher, Avenged Sevenfold, Joe Cocker, Alice In Chains, Matchbox Twenty, Timbaland with Elton John, Michael Stipe with Mandy Moore, Rihanna, Coheed & Cambria, Colbie Callait, Ashlee Simpson, Backstreet Boys, Aly & AJ, Plain White T's, Anna Nalick, Brooke Fraser, Mark Seliger Feat. Stevie has recorded on numerous movie and television soundtracks and radio commercials, written and recorded string arrangements for over 100 Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, and Rock songs, and has performed at various well known venues throughout North America. Stevie appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno playing violin for Chingy, Snoop Dog and Ludicris, on a PBS show performing with Minnie Driver and most recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live where he arranged for a string/horn section and played with the house band on Oscar night. Stevie has produced songs that have been featured in movies and television, including "Smallville", the Harrison Ford movie "Firewall", and "The Visitors" with Nicole Kidman. An arrangement of a classical piece Stevie did will be featured in "Jesse James" starring Brad Pitt.

Stevie has a degree from the Berklee College of Music and studied privately with Grammy nominated mandolinist David Grisman. He was born in London, England and raised in the United States. The son of an internationally renowned classical pianist, this talented multi-instrumentalist / songwriter / producer endorses D'Addario Strings, Mojave Audio, Royer Microphones and Sibelius Notation Software.
